Mangosteen, Garcina mangostana, is a native tropical fruit of countries in Southeast Asia like Thailand, Malaysia, and the Philippines. It is a fruit that is about the size of an apple, with thick rind and dark purple in color. Its fleshy part inside is white with large seeds.
