During a Health Step check up, why does the doctor ask child to walk on tip-toes and touch toes?
They also do heel walking.
I think the tip-toe walking is for checking balance and muscle tone in legs and back.
The touching-toes move (especially if the doctor is standing behind the child), is one of the checks they use to look for signs of scoliosis.
