Good diet tips for a 13 year old diabetic girl?
I’m 13 years old. I weigh 155 lbs. I would love to know of some good dieting tips, I’ve tried lots of things, and they never work. I eat healthy, but I don’t manage my diabetes very well. I know I should, but I’m a teenager, what do you expect?!
You should work with your endocrinologist, dietitian and diabetes educator to work out a manageable meal schedule for yourself.
Try and exercising daily .Even an extra walk after dinner would help.
If you have a bike, ride it.
I never drink my carbs and with that idea you can avoid extra carbs that raise your blood sugar and add extra calories.
Still keep to a normal diet plan.Just cut out the junk.
Learn to count carbs and use that tool is deciding how much of what food you should eat.
